The first GA Jubilee was held at the rustic Chatuge Lodge high on a ridge overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Chatuge's 7,500 acres in the spectacular North Georgia Mountains. The weekend included dinner on the terrace provided by the Culinary Dept at No. GA Technical School, High Tea, PJ breakfast, pontoon boat rides on the lake, and a private Oktoberfest in nearby Helen, a re-creation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers. One of the highlights of the evening was doing the Chicken Dance to music by the German Oompah Band.
Our thanks and applause to Planning Chairs: Sha Sims, Lee Tittle, and Helen Naismith.
