Report on Red Hat May Day in Adel Georgia

| If you didn't make it to the Red Hat May Day in Adel, GA on May 1, 2004, you missed a real treat. There were gentlemen dressed in tuxes with red ties and cummerbunds to welcome and cater to all the ladies there. Distinguished visitors included tow authors, the Mayor of Adel, who declared it "Red Hat Week", and Elvis "himself"!!
The venders were wonderful, with great prices. A photographer was there to take glamour shots as well as photos with Elvis and more. The meal was out-of-this-world and the facilities great! Over 150 door prizes were given away to lucky ladies. Then to top it off there was the Friday Night Bingo and a wonderful supper. |

They say Shriners Conventions are wild, but just listen to this..... On Friday night at the Hampton Inn the fire alarm went off about 2:30 A.M. and the red hats were flying! Guests said, "the ladies may have forgotten their pants, but they rushed to save the HATS!" There were reports of rambunctious rides on luggage carts, threats of (GASP!) whipping off panties to win a Bingo game .... Girls will be girls, you know.
